I signed up to be a Bzzagent. The first campaign I was given was educator.com! This is a really cool site. It reminds me of modules you would see on an online course. You click the segment you want to watch and it gives you step by step instructions and demos! Awesome and super helpful!

Hmm... Cooking blog?

I have recently watched "Julie&Julia" and this maked me want to start my own blog about cooking. Well, since I already have a blog, I figured I'd just use this one. As most of you know, I've started to cook alot. I will add pictures of the final projects after I've cooked them. So, shall we start? Yesterday, I made 2 batchs of cookies. "Chocolate PB chunk" and "Coffee Chocolate Chip" cookies. They both turned out AMAZING. Except, the coffee chip cookies DO eminate an extreme coffee flavor. Do not store these cookies with other cookies.
As I'm preparing the cookie sheets with teaspoon sized balls of dough, Alyvia is trying to eat it. After the 900th time I explained to her that she needs to wait until they are cooked she finally decides to go play. I cook what seems like 50 batches of cookies and get to the last tray. There it is, a missing dough ball from my perfectly uniformed cookie lines. The little devil took an entire ball of cookie dough and ran with it.
All in all, 2 recipes down, we had around 100 deliscious cookies. No pictures for these recipes, but more recipes to follow with pictures.

My daughter, The diva!

SO, I've come to the relization that my daughter is a diva. Here is a trio of "diva-esque" stories from my archive of "Alvyia Moments".

First Diva Move
While we are driving down the street Marcus in the driver seat, me in the passenger and Alyvia in the back, Alyvia asks me, "MOM!? TANNY?" (tanny=candy)Me: Sorry sweetie, No candy!Alyvia: GUM?! *with her little hand sticking out*Me: Don't have any gum either kid.She proceeds to sigh and roll her eyes at me.

Diva Tale #2
We went to the carnival the other day. After the carnival the kids wanted to go for a drive. So, we drive n end up by starbucks. Deciding I want a drink I ask, "Who wants a coffee?" (Their coffee is hot chocolate) Of course they both want one. We get the coffee and ZOOM off. Alyvia promplty decides she doesn't want it anymore. "Not wannit!" so I taste it. I dont want it either. We turn around and have them both re-made. After she gets the new one she takes a sip "MMM. GOOOOD" and we leave. 3 sips later she says "MOM! NOT WANNIT!" Me: alyvia, drink it. Her: NOT WANNIT. COCKY IN 'NER! (*ner sounds like Nair* ner=there)and refuses to drink it anymore INSISTING "COCKY IN 'NER!"

Diva Clencher
I bought a slip-n-slide and set it up yesterday. Alyvia and Makai played on it for an hour and then we had some friends come over for them. Domi and her 4 kids. Everyones playing, Alyvia is walking around in her "Dakina" (bikini) with one hand on her hip, a pepsi in the other hand bossing everyone around.

Alyvia turned 2 on April 25. My babygirl is now a big girl! Shes very intelligent and never ceases to amaze me. We celebrated her birthday with a Tea Party and she had tons of "Juice-Tea" as she refered to the blue koolaid. She ate some scones and played with her cousins. Alyvia's favorite gift was a motorized princess quad given to her by her godmother, Heather. Although, she did love all her presents.
Makai will graduate preschool on May 20th! And then, he will start kindergarten in August. YAY! He will also be 5 August 14.
Marcus is now working 3 jobs! Hes still at Convergys but has also added landscaping and is working one day a week at a boys group home, which he is really liking. He's also thinking about opening his own sprinkler and installation business.
I have finals this week! One on tuesday (today)one on thursday and one on friday! Today, I just have to give a speech on "How communication will fit into my career." As soon as I get my final grades, I will post them. After this week I am off for a (short) summer break and then will resume school August 24. I will be taking Intro to Corrections, Math 1020 and Spanish 1010. As for the summer, I plan to just work my tail off and stash as much cash as possible!

Hello all!
2009 has started wonderfully and we hope it last through the year!
Marcus turned 25 in January! He also started a new job in January. He is now working at Key Bank through Convergys. He is hoping it will be a great job and we all know what a natural salesman he is!
I started SUU in pursuit of a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology in January. I am still working at Motel 6 and have almost been here for an entire year. Its not where I hope to be in 5 years but that is the reason I am in college!
Makai is living with us for 2 weeks out of every month. He's in preschool on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. From what we gather he is loving school! Hes learning the alphabet and how to count. He's been potty trained for about a year and has not had one accident to recall. Makai is an incredibly observant little man! He is the first one to notice when anything is different. He is also a little charmer! He is always telling me "Mom you look pretty today!"
Alyvia will be 2 in april! We are still in a stupor at how fast she has grown. She is learning her name and how to sing! She is a great little singer! She also has a fascination with daddy's tattoos and drawing her own (with markers). Alyvia will be starting her potty training adventure so she can go to school like her brother.
